Complete and balanced food for cats
PRACTICAL TIPS FOR CAT OWNERS
- Fast and easy! All you have to do is fill the bowl with KiS-KiS! See the information on our packings for the daily average amount of food.
The structure of the food ensures that the teeth and the gums of your cat stay clean and strong.
The lecithin improves the digestion, a high content of taurine supports the heart function, the biotin content sees to a healthy skin and clear eyes that will make your cat irresistible! KiS-KiS products contain a higher percentage of fish and fish by-products, with the benefit that it helps your (longhaired) cat to get rid of its hairballs.
- Cats do not like eating from a deep bowl: they prefer keeping a keen eye on their surroundings when they feed. A high rim can touch the throat and make swallowing more difficult. Cats love food bowls that are wider than their whiskers. If not, they have the tendency to drag the food from their dish. The cat’s feeding bowl must always be clean.
- It is important to know that a cat does not like to eat close to where it also relieves itself. Furthermore, the bowl must be placed in a quiet place in the house. This means not where children run, or close to the front or the back door.
- Most cats from time to time eat grass. Grass is a natural emetic and helps the cat to get rid of its hairballs. It also helps the cat to take in more Vitamin B, usually lacking in a menu that consist almost solely of meat. And it helps the cat to more fibres: good against constipation.
- If you have more than one cat, some of them are likely to be choosy eaters. Give each cat its own food bowl, and let them sort it out further themselves.
- It is unwise to give cow milk to your cat, because it contains lactose. Cats cannot digest lactose and this can cause diarrhoea. Make sure that your cat always has access to sufficient drinking water.
- It is of course nice to give the adult animals in-between meals, for instance when you have your tea, a small goodie or a snack, but beware, and give it as much as possible snacks that relate to real cat food: this means no cake, cookies or bits of meat. If too much ‘wrong’ food is given, it ousts the ‘real’ food, and that can cause problems.
- An explanation why cats are extremely fond of drinking from puddles, pools, the bathtub and even the toilet, is that according to cats these are absolutely the same things as water sources in free nature. In the wild, a cat after feeding, searches for a water source to quench its thirst. At these moments, they do not consider the water bowl in the kitchen as a clear substitute. Try to supply your cat with water from a large drinking tray.
